Bird life in the Coleambally area is prolific, with over 80 different birds sighted. Among them is the Superb Parrot. Brolgas can be seen at certain times, notably during the rice season.

Reference booklets on the native plants and birds are available at the Coleambally Caravan Park. (cost $25.00 each)
